FIVE SIGN OF AN EAR PROBLEM

The ear is the organ of hearing and balance. seen as the ears are central and important to day-to-day life, they have to be cared for.
Besides hearing loss, many other conditions can affect the ears too. So common disease of the ears include;

PAIN OR EAR ACHE

Ear pain can have causes that aren't caused by diseases. It could be poorly fitting tight hardware, tight headphones or even sleeping on a hard surface. However, in some cases, it could be a sign that something is wrong especially if there are other symptoms like ear discharge or if the pain is consistent for too long.

DIFFICULTY HEARING

Difficulty hearing could be too much ear wax, loud or prolonged noise exposure, aging, an object stuck in the ear or the side effects of medication. But, that is not all. Difficulty hearing is also a sign that you need to visit the doctor.

DISCHARGE FROM EARS

The most common air discharge is earwax. In this case, there is nothing wrong . If the discharge is clear or slightly blood tinged, it could be skin problem in the ear like eczema or swimmers ears, it could also be due to a weeping wound. If the discharge is blood, it is a serious cause for concern. Ensure you pay a visit to the doctor if you notice clear or bloody discharge.

ITCHING OR IRRITATION

Hair regrowth, insect bites, sunburn, dry skin or healing wounds can cause itching and irritation around and in the ears but it can also be due to an ear infection.

PRESSURE OR FULLNESS IN EARS

Fullness in the ear can be due to fluid in the middle ear. It is as a result of a blocked eustachian tube which drains fluid from the middle ear . If fluid builds up, the middle ear may even become infected, leading to pain and swelling.
